Junk finds for October 21, 2009

Got this stuff a few days back and just didn't post it.
I still have no idea how to get the photos where I want them So I'll have to settle for this.
My Finds include a old broken clock, I've had for a few years and forgot about in the back of my closet. A air regulator that was going to be tossed out along with a box of small bolts , two large brass nuts, four peaces of steel, and a 1/2 inch tap.
The last image contains one of four sets of air valves, connectors, and a air director of some sort, and about 12 feet of the grayish black hose you see connecting everything together. I believe that these parts are all from a lathe of some sort. I think that I may be able to make a steampunked set of head phones from the air directors. The plan is still in production stages so I"m not sure what will be made or how I'll go about doing it. I'll keep you updated.

Oxford Museum of the History of Science

The Oxford Museum of the History of Science Has opened a steampunk exhibit with the kind of work people like me dream of being able to do. It was brought to me attention by The Steampunk workshop,
There is also a slide show of the work on Wired, it showcases some of the work but you can see a lot more at the museums blog.

The blog of the artists that made these marvels, is included if you want more information or just want to tell them how amazing there work is. http://www.steampunkmuseumexhibition.blogspot.com/

Give the steampunk artists your support, they should be proud as it some of the most amazing work I've ever seen.

First post!

Just A heads Up, due to laws and By-laws it is increasingly difficult to get junk to build stuff. I've only recently started to get active about it so the making will be slow but hopefully worth wile. I am in no means an expert so tips on how I did a project are welcome. Also as new and interesting things pop up on my radar I'll post them.
